About Us
Dry Pond Land Management is a small, family business founded in 2025 and owned and operated by my wife, Megan and I. The company is based in Denver, NC where we live with our two daughters, Blake (7) and Walker (3). Although we are originally from Mount Airy, NC, I grew up in Denver, attending Catawba Springs Elementary and Pumpkin Center Middle School. My parents, Ken and Renee, were the original owners of the silver diner on HWY 16, when it was known as Mayberry Diner.
Before starting Dry Pond, I spent my entire life learning about the industry. I fell in love with the dirt world at a young age, spending every summer working alongside my grandpa and uncle in our family’s paving and grading business. After graduating from UNC-Charlotte in 2011, I stayed true to my passion and was able to learn from some of the best in business at DR Mozeley and Hoopaugh Grading Company. In 2022 I further honed my skills by transitioning to NorthPoint Development where I was given the opportunity to lead some of the most complex site and infrastructure packages along the East Coast.
All this led to our family’s decision for me to step out as an independent contractor in an industry I’ve worked in for over 15 years. With honesty, integrity and hard work, I promise to bring the same level of service and professionalism to your personal project as I did overseeing those worth half a billion dollars.
